This was the first exercise where workshop participants were asked to express where they stood on a continuum between a series of paired issues.

Issues in the training of teachers and trainers

Participants were asked to identify opportunities, barriers and drivers in the training of tecahers and trainers. They were then asked to group these issues into the following categories:

• important and urgent
• important and not urgent
• not important and urgent
• not important and not urgent

Expert witnesses presented a number of different ongoing national and international projects at the workshop.
